Job Description
Senior Quantity Surveyor required by Oradeo Recruitment for a Tier 1 Main Contractor in Dublin.
About the Role:
Manage projects, budgets, and client relationships for a variety of commercial projects. Ensure specifications and requirements are met, and provide commercial guidance to the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with clients, design teams, and project directors to ensure project success.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Review tender enquiries and estimate projects in conjunction with the Head Office Quantity Surveying Department.
- Negotiate new projects with price premiums that are cost-effective.
- Subcontract purchasing and monitoring of packages on site.
- Sub-contractor re-measurement, interim, and final account payments.
- Compiling the variation log and signing off on variations with the Project Quantity Surveyor.
- Final account preparations.
- Cash flow forecasting for projects and issuing monthly reports to accounts.
Requirements:
- 3rd level qualifications in Quantity Surveying or construction economics.
- No less than 6+ years of professional experience with a proven track record in dealing with Subcontractors and Clients.
- Relevant experience working on projects in excess of €20 million within Ireland, UK, or European markets.
- Displays thorough understanding of specifications, bills of quantities, and drawings.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office and other Quantity Surveying Packages.
- Proven track record in Commercial/build Projects.
- Excellent budgetary responsibility.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills.
