Job Description
Senior Quantity Surveyor role in Co Cork, Ireland, requires expertise in contractual matters, cost management, and negotiation with subcontractors and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise on contractual matters at general and project levels.
- Process contractual claims and associated records.
- Maximise revenue and reduce costs, identifying and investigating losses.
- Assist with project cash management and advise on project correspondence.
- Negotiate and agree subcontractors, suppliers' prices, and terms.
- Ensure final accounts are closed in a timely manner.
- Prepare and review monthly cost reports, risk registers, and variation trackers.
- Negotiate subcontractors' and suppliers' final accounts.
- Variations: measurement, pricing, and negotiation with client, quantity surveyor, and subcontractor.
Requirements:
- Professional qualification in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management.
- Extensive experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on construction/civils projects.
- Ability to work on large-scale, high-headcount construction sites and sub-contractors.
- Liaise with Commercial Manager and Contracts Manager, dealing with internal stakeholders and client's representatives.
- Strong time management skills, excellent verbal and written communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong understanding of the construction industry and working on site.
