Job Description
We are presently recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor with at least 5 years' experience for continuing contracts in Dublin. You will specifically come with extensive main contractor experience and will be required to manage subcontractors. The successful candidate will work mainly on residential projects with some mixed-use and commercial projects in the Dublin area.
You will ensure projects are completed within budget and on time, prepare tender documents, oversee payments to contractors, manage variations, and provide cost advice to ensure financial efficiency and compliance throughout the project.
This is a permanent position based in Dublin.Responsibilities:
- Preparing detailed cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts for construction projects.
- Managing and overseeing subcontractor contracts, ensuring compliance with agreements.
- Leading procurement processes, negotiating terms, and preparing contracts.
- Monitoring project progress, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Managing variations, claims, and resolving disputes in a timely manner.
- Providing regular reports on financial performance, including cost analysis and cash flow forecasts.
- Ensuring projects meet financial, legal, and quality standards.
- Working closely with the project management team to ensure alignment on objectives and deliverables.
Skills & Requirements:
- Degree holder
- Minimum 5 years' experience with main contractors.
- Extensive knowledge of contracts.
- Strong communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
