Job Description
Senior Quantity Surveyor sought for Ireland's leading multi-disciplinary Engineering and Construction company. We are looking for a skilled professional to take on a challenging role on a large project at Dublin Port. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of post-graduation experience and a degree qualification.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Preparing internal commercial reports and any other reports required;
- Preparing valuations and applications for payment with supporting documentation in accordance with the contract;
- Preparing cost reports for the client with contractually compliant supporting documentation;
- Managing subcontract and material procurement schedules;
- Administering subcontractor/supplier accounts from requisition preparation to final account agreement;
- Undertaking contract administration, including change management and register maintenance;
- Identifying commercial risks, opportunities, and value engineering;
- Managing cost control and mitigation;
- Maintaining site records and implementing a WBS structure to satisfy client and contract requirements;
- Preparing cost to complete and risk analysis registers;
- Negotiating and agreeing change events, extension of time claims, and final accounts;
- Measuring quantities in accordance with standard methods of measurement;
- Ensuring appropriate client management and drafting complex subcontract arrangements;
- Identifying and advising on insurance-related issues;
- Maximising cash position and maintaining margin improvement plans;
- Assisting in work winning duties, including technical writing for PQQ responses.
