Job Description

Senior Quantity Surveyor required to advise on contractual matters, process claims, and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise on contractual matters at general and project level
  • Process contractual claims and associated records
  • Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to maximise revenue and reduce costs
  • Assist with project cash management and advise on project correspondence
  • Negotiate and agree subcontractors and suppliers' prices and terms
  • Ensure final accounts are closed in a timely manner
  • Prepare and review monthly cost reports
  • Review and update risk registers, variation trackers, and extension of time tracker sheets
  • Negotiate subcontractors and suppliers' final accounts
  • Variations: measurement and pricing, negotiation with client, quantity surveyor, and subcontractor

Requirements:

  • Professional qualification in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management
  • Proven extensive experience in a Senior Quantity Surveyor role on construction projects
  • Ability to work on large-scale, high-headcount construction sites and sub-contractors
  • Liaise with Commercial Manager and Contracts Manager when dealing with internal stakeholders and client's representatives
  • Strong time management skills, excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Strong understanding of the construction industry and working on site
