Senior Quantity Surveyor required to advise on contractual matters, process claims, and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise on contractual matters at general and project level
- Process contractual claims and associated records
- Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to maximise revenue and reduce costs
- Assist with project cash management and advise on project correspondence
- Negotiate and agree subcontractors and suppliers' prices and terms
- Ensure final accounts are closed in a timely manner
- Prepare and review monthly cost reports
- Review and update risk registers, variation trackers, and extension of time tracker sheets
- Negotiate subcontractors and suppliers' final accounts
- Variations: measurement and pricing, negotiation with client, quantity surveyor, and subcontractor
Requirements:
- Professional qualification in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management
- Proven extensive experience in a Senior Quantity Surveyor role on construction projects
- Ability to work on large-scale, high-headcount construction sites and sub-contractors
- Liaise with Commercial Manager and Contracts Manager when dealing with internal stakeholders and client's representatives
- Strong time management skills, excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Strong understanding of the construction industry and working on site
