ProSource are currently recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor on behalf of our client, who are a nationally recognised Cost and Project Management Consultancy based in Dublin City Centre. Role: As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing cost management and procurement activities throughout the project lifecycle. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely cost assessments, managing budgets, and collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes. Responsibilities: Conducting thorough cost estimates and budget analysis for construction projects. Managing procurement processes and negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors. Collaborating with project teams to provide cost advice and support decision-making. Monitoring project expenditures and identifying potential cost-saving opportunities. Conducting risk assessments and implementing effective risk management strategies. Overseeing the preparation of tender documents and participating in the tender evaluation process. Providing guidance and mentorship to junior members of the quantity surveying team. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices. Requirements: Chartered Quantity Surveyor status with a recognised professional body. Extensive experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry, with a focus on large-scale projects. Proven track record of successfully managing cost control and procurement processes. Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships. In-depth knowledge of construction contracts and relevant legislation. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficient in relevant software tools and applications.
