Job Description
Senior Quantity Surveyor role in Dublin or Europe for a market leading Contractor.
Established Contractors with a great pedigree and significant annual turnover are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage projects, budgets, and client relationships.
Key responsibilities include:
- Liaising with the Managing Director and Commercial Manager
- Liaising with the Design Team to ensure requirements and specifications are met
- Developing and maintaining relationships with Client Representatives
- Representing the company at site and other meetings
- Reviewing tender enquiries and tender analysis
- Estimating and tendering for projects
- Negotiating new projects with price premiums
- Subcontract purchasing and monitoring
- Monitoring contra charges and notifying sub-contractors
- Compiling variation logs and signing off on variations
- Final account preparations
- Cash flow forecasting and reporting
- Mentoring Intermediate & Junior Quantity Surveyors
Necessary requirements:
- 3rd level qualifications in Quantity Surveying or construction economics
- No less than 8+ years of professional experience with a proven track record in dealing with Subcontractors and Clients
- Relevant experience working on projects in excess of €20 million within Ireland, UK or European markets
- Thorough understanding of specifications, bills of quantities, and drawings
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office and other Quantity Surveying Packages
- Proven track record in Commercial/build Projects
- Excellent budgetary responsibility
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
