Job Description
Senior Quantity Surveyor required for a market leading Contractor in Dublin. The successful candidate will have commercial awareness, strong initiative, and enthusiasm.
The role involves managing projects, preparing budgets and estimates, and interacting with clients and design teams. Key responsibilities include:
- Liaising with the Managing Director and Commercial Manager
- Developing and maintaining relationships with clients and design teams
- Reviewing tender enquiries and tender analysis
- Estimating and tendering for projects
- Negotiating new projects with cost-effective price premiums
- Monitoring subcontractor performance and payments
- Compiling variation logs and final account preparations
- Cost monitoring and reporting
- Cash flow forecasting and issuing monthly reports
Necessary Requirements:
- 3rd level qualifications in Quantity Surveying or construction economics
- No less than 8+ years of professional experience in dealng with subcontractors and clients
- Relevant experience working on projects in excess of €20 million
- Displays thorough understanding of specifications, bills of quantities, and drawings
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office and other Quantity Surveying Packages
- Proven track record in Commercial/build Projects
- Demonstrates excellent budgetary responsibility
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
