If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! On behalf of a is very well reputable hospital in Galway, we are recruiting an experienced Radiographer with a strong CT background. While the primary focus of this role is CT, it also involves rotations and involvement in general radiography. The successful candidate: will rotate through all areas of radiology and also take part in the on-call service as required. You will join a thriving Radiology Department, under the leadership of an exceptional Radiology Manager who is dedicated to innovation, excellence, and a supportive work environment. Your new company: This very well-respected hospital in Galway, has experienced significant growth in recent years, and they are now seeking an experienced Senior Radiographer to join their team on a either full time (35hrs) or part time (27hrs) basis. Role Highlights: You'll be working in a supportive environment with a team that's dedicated to providing outstanding You will utilise your expertise in CT Radiography to make a significant impact. Provide guidance and support to junior Radiographers. Collaborate closely with the Radiology Manager to ensure the efficient operation of the department. Key Responsibilities: Perform radiographic and imaging examinations as required, ensuring adherence to high professional standards. Maintain exceptional quality in radiography practices. Participate in the on-call service as necessary. Adhere to the three principles of radiation protection: justification, optimization, and dose constraints/limits. Engage in routine daily inspections of equipment and quality assurance procedures. Report any equipment defects or issues to the Radiology Manager or the Clinical Specialist in the relevant area. Stay current with advancements and techniques in radiographic and imaging procedures and participate in in-service training as required. Actively contribute to Continuing Professional Development (CPD). Participate in and support research projects and provide training to junior or less experienced staff. Report any defects or incidents that may impact safety. Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Radiology Services Manager or Clinical Specialist. Perform high-quality scans in accordance with established protocols and safety standards. Supervise and mentor junior radiographers and students, providing guidance and support. Eligibility Criteria: Must hold a Diploma/Degree of Radiography. Must hold CORU registration Competent in using Philips CT scanner. Must be able to support general x-rays and theatres when required Proven track record in training and developing junior staff. Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with the multidisciplinary team, including radiographers, assistants, and nursing staff. Have the ability to work independently on own initiative and work under pressure. Have proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
