Job Description

Job title: Senior R&D EngineerLocation: Western Business Park, Shannon, Co. ClareBenefits: Good salary, Healthcare, pension, opportunity to grow your career with an exciting Medical Device company working on projects from concept.Summary:The Senior Research & Development Engineer will be a highly motivated individual responsible for the design, development, and project management of a portfolio of projects. This includes internal projects and those for external clients.A good understanding of the full R&D process from concept through production to commercialization would be essential in this broad-spectrum role. Experience in Design Control and working in an ISO 13485 environment is essential. Experience in interfacing with external clients is beneficial. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Able to work in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.Responsibilities:Lead defined development projects including co-development projects with industry partners.Ensure completion of relevant supporting Design Documentation in compliance with applicable procedures.Assist in the development of the required Files for Regulatory submissions.Develop and monitor project Gantt charts or other planning tools to allow project tracking.Work with and manage both internal and external resources to complete the necessary project activities.Incorporate relevant design expertise and experience in projects in line with PBC new product pipeline strategy.Drive and encourage creativity within the project teams.Support management of the R&D Laboratory.Actively search for best-in-class technologies among competitors to support the development of the company innovation roadmap.Implement structures respecting existing patents; strive for creation of value-adding patents each year.Support activities related to the maintenance of operational budgets for applicable programs.Design, implement, and manage validation procedures for new biomedical implant related processes.Keep abreast of developments in the field of bone regeneration through review of current scientific literature, networking within the scientific community, and participating at scientific congresses.Requirements:- Strong Project Management skills are required, as well as experience of leading cross-functional project teams.- R&D process from concept through production to commercialization.- A level 08 degree or higher in a relevant scientific/engineering discipline.Does this sound like your next career move?
