Seeking a Senior R&D Engineer to lead technical projects, develop innovative biomaterials, and drive business growth in the medical device industry.
Job Description:
- Provide technical leadership to project teams, assuming reporting responsibilities for team members.
- Manage R&D projects to meet customer needs, developing test methods and qualification strategies.
- Interact with customers and vendors, identifying new equipment and materials to enhance technical capacity.
- Present weekly updates to senior management on client projects and provide technical reports as needed.
- Develop and enhance biomaterials application offerings, contributing to the company's intellectual property portfolio.
Key Requirements:
- Third-level degree in Mechanical/Biomedical Engineering or Materials/Polymer Science, with a Master's or PhD a distinct advantage.
- 5-8 years of commercial experience in an R&D role in the medical device industry.
- Aptitude for analytical problem-solving and creative thinking to solve complex problems.
- Hands-on approach to innovative concept design and development of novel products and fabrication processes.
- Strong initiative and follow-through in executing project responsibilities, overcoming obstacles, and balancing multiple priorities.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and root cause analysis skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate concepts, ideas, and knowledge to all levels of the organization.
