Job Description
Lead a team of R&D professionals in Lifecycle Management, overseeing product development and ensuring timely delivery of departmental goals.
As a Senior R&D Manager in Lifecycle Management, you will provide strategic leadership to a growing team, driving innovation and excellence in product development. With a strong technical background and experience in team leadership, you will be responsible for managing interfaces between functions, prioritizing activities, and delivering on tasks/projects with cross-functional teams. Your expertise will be essential in presenting product development history to customers, leading technical investigations, and reviewing complaint trending.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading R&D Lifecycle Management activities for a portfolio of products
- Team leadership, with responsibility for team structure, development, and performance management
- Managing interfaces between Supply Chain, Quality, and Regulatory functions to plan and support R&D activities
- Organizing and prioritizing activities, including escalations, in collaboration with key functions
- Providing technical expertise on a broad range of neurovascular ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke products
- Working closely with cross-functional teams, including Quality and Design Assurance, Supply Chain and Manufacturing, Regulatory, Marketing teams
- Supporting R&D department with customer visitors and leading customer complaint technical investigations
Requirements:
- Honours degree in Engineering or Science (desired) with strong technical acumen
- Professional certification in Project Management (PMP) preferred
- Significant experience in an R&D or product sustaining role in the medical device industry
- Team leadership experience required
- Proficiency in statistical techniques
- Ability to work within design control systems and processes
