Senior Research Analyst role in Dublin, Ireland, for a leading global financial services firm, requiring 5+ years of experience in an Analyst role, strong financial modelling and communication skills.

Cantor Fitzgerald Ireland is a leading global financial services firm, specialising in equities, investment banking, real estate, fixed income and currencies. We provide a full suite of investment services, primarily wealth management, fund management, debt capital markets and corporate finance.

The successful candidate will contribute to regular investment commentaries and publications, building and maintaining financial models on equities under coverage, and formulating and updating investment ideas for both trading and long-term portfolio clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Producing regular insightful investment commentary and research on specific agreed equities for distribution to the firm's Private Wealth client base via traditional and social media channels.
  • Building and maintaining financial models on equities under coverage.
  • Formulating and updating investment ideas for both trading and long-term portfolio clients.
  • Actively participating in the analysis and monitoring of discretionary portfolios and contributing to the firm's investment committee meetings.
  • Contributing to the "house view" on the outlook for main asset classes.
  • Addressing portfolio management/sales desk queries in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Contributing to the production of cross-asset thematic research and ad-hoc projects as required.
  • Providing support and guidance to more junior members of staff.

Key Qualifications:

  • 5+ years' experience in an Analyst role on the sell-side and/or buy-side.
  • A graduate qualification in a Finance/numerical discipline and/or qualified CFA or ACA.
  • A passion for financial markets and track record of making successful investment recommendations.
  • Strong financial modelling, valuation and analysis skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; both oral and written.
  • A confident and affable team player who thrives working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong information technology skills with a high level of proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Bloomberg and Factset.
