Job Description
Advanced cancer research initiatives within CUH/UCC Cancer Centre, alongside HRB funded UCC Cancer Trials Group, and moving towards OECI Cancer Centre designation. Key leadership position responsible for development of 5 and 10 year business plan, and roll out of quality system, workforce planning, and Key Performance Indicators.
Manage comprehensive nursing, data management, and financial operations team; ensuring timely and efficient trial start up process, trial accrual goals are met, and medical care, nursing care, and data management adhere to highest standards.
Facilitate expansion of industry-led and academic-led cancer clinical trials, building national and international partnerships, collaborating with Cancer Trials Cork at Bons Secours Cork Cancer Centre, and Cancer Trials Waterford at University Hospital Waterford.
Enable local collaborations for adoption of best practices and quality improvements with CUH Research Office, Clinical Research Facility at UCC, and engage with national stakeholders in clinical trials space.
