Job Description

Access Talent Group are supporting an international consultancy seeking a skilled Resident Engineer to join their team in Cork.
As a Resident Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing civil engineering projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all regulations and quality standards.
You will play a key role in managing the construction process, resolving technical issues, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Responsibilities: Manage and oversee civil engineering projects from conception to completion Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget Review and interpret project plans and specifications Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards Resolve any technical issues that arise during the construction process Prepare regular progress reports and communicate with clients and stakeholders Collaborate with the design team to address any design changes or issues that may arise during construction Ensure that all relevant permits and licenses are obtained and that all projects comply with regulatory requirements Preferred Candidate Experience: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred Proven experience as a Resident Engineer or similar role in the civil engineering industry In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and safety guidelines Strong project management and leadership skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to problem-solve and make sound decisions under pressure Familiarity with relevant software and tools such as Auto CAD, MS Project, and construction management software Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Current project has a contract for the next 18 months, with guaranteed work following with new projects in the city
