Job Description


We are seeking a Senior Resident Engineer with 10+ years of relevant experience in Site Supervision activities.

  • Experience in administrating Contracts – Public Works & FIDIC.
  • Knowledge and Awareness of Health and Safety Legislation and Regulations.
  • Chartered Engineer.
  • Managing Safely in Construction Training.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive delivery of projects on site on behalf of Uisce Éireann with a particular focus on health & safety, the time for delivery, cost management and ensuring that the project is constructed to the specified quality standard.
  • Ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with the contract documents (works requirements).
  • Ensure that all materials incorporated into the permanent work, and all workmanship are executed in accordance with the applicable specification as set out in the works requirements and that required testing is carried out.
  • Monitor and report on works being carried out to the Employer's Requirements.
  • Ensure that the employer's representative, the relevant project manager and Uisce Éireann are fully informed of all issues arising on site.
  • Implement Uisce Éireann safety policies and standards on the construction projects.
  • Review and comment on project/site specific HSQE documentation eg RAMS, TMP etc.
  • Monitor compliance with contract health and safety requirements and contractor's Proposals.
  • Carry out weekly documented health and safety site reviews, follow up and confirm satisfactory close out of health and safety issues.
  • Ensure that any accident or incident on site, no matter how minor, is reported to Uisce Éireann and actively assist with the accident investigation and implementation of corrective and preventative actions.
  • Actively participate in Uisce Éireann HSQE team monthly inspections and confirming satisfactory close out of any issues identified.
