Job Description
Seeking a Senior Project Engineer with 5+ years of experience in Residential Construction Project Management to lead a new project in Co Meath from initial planning to final completion.
Our client is a well-established contractor with a proven track record in delivering a wide variety of projects. They require a Senior Project Engineer to prepare, coordinate, and monitor a new residential project in Co Meath.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working knowledge and understanding of typical contract documents, including plans, specifications, and applicable standards.
- Responsible for communications amongst the site project team members and interface with the wider team.
- Establish and maintain procedures with consultants, clients, and subcontractors for information flow, approvals, meetings, and reporting.
- Prepare a detailed contract items list, including major materials and equipment required for the construction of the project.
- Develop, monitor, and update a submittal register with subcontractors to ensure overall compliance with the construction schedule.
- Develop, monitor, and update a procurement schedule to ensure overall compliance with the construction schedule.
- Responsible for the calibration of surveying equipment.
- Conduct construction document reviews and examine all documents for constructability, coordination, and execution.
- Manage subcontractor's submittal and RFI submission from development to approval by the design team.
- Schedule, conduct, attend, and document all job meetings, Client/Design meetings, and coordination meetings.
- Operate and maintain the company Safety & Quality Management Systems to the highest possible standard achievable.
- Maintain communication and interface with site teams, ensuring works are compliant with the approval requirements of external utilities providers.
- Manage project close-out, including all BCAR compliance documentation, as-built documentation, and relevant information for handover to the statutory Utility Bodies/Design Team/Client for approval.
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar.
- 5+ years of experience in Residential Construction Project Management.
- Familiarity with working to Irish Standards for the various external utility providers.
- Good planning and problem-solving skills.
- Managing teams (direct and indirect).
- Competent in Technical Submittals.
- Competent in Auto CAD.
