Summary: A Senior Resiliency Analyst is required to develop and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery plans, ensuring timely recovery in the event of a catastrophic event resulting in a partial/full loss of a data center.

Optum, a global organization delivering care aided by technology, is seeking a Senior Resiliency Analyst to improve health outcomes by connecting people with the care, pharmacy benefits, data and resources they need to feel their best.

As a Senior Resiliency Analyst, you will work alongside the IT, operations, other departments, and acquisitions to identify critical systems and processes, develop recovery strategies, and test the effectiveness of the plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery plans for critical business functions.
  • Advise on potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Assist in disaster recovery exercises to validate the effectiveness of plans and identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain and update disaster recovery plans as needed to reflect changes in technology, processes, or regulatory requirements.
  • Manage vendor information of vendors providing services contained in disaster recovery plans.
  • Coordinate incident response activities in the event of a disaster or emergency.
  • Activate disaster recovery plans and manage the recovery process.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on disaster recovery procedures and their roles in the event of an emergency.
  • Promote awareness of disaster recovery best practices and encourage employee participation in drills and exercises.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Strong experience in disaster recovery planning, implementation, and testing.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and networks.
  • Knowledge of disaster recovery methodologies and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud-based disaster recovery solutions.
  • Familiarity with data backup and recovery technologies.
  • Experience with incident response and crisis management.
