Job Description
Senior Roads Design Engineer required for planning and design of road, rail, public transport, and active travel projects throughout Ireland.
We are seeking a senior roads design engineer with extensive relevant planning and design experience.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in engineering, be a Chartered Engineer or expecting to become Chartered within 12 months, and have experience with relevant design software.
Key responsibilities include planning and design of road, rail, public transport, and active travel projects, contributing to statutory processes, preparation of contract documents, contract administration, and construction supervision.
Desirable skills and attributes include:
- Extensive relevant experience in a consultancy environment
- Educated to degree level in engineering (Level 8/9)
- Chartered Engineer or expecting to become Chartered within 12 months
- Computer literate with experience of relevant design software
- Knowledgeable of relevant design standards and ability to translate this knowledge into practical, buildable, and value-for-money designs
- Experience in design and build projects
- Experience in the development of road schemes, including feasibility studies, preliminary and detailed design, statutory processes, procurement processes, contract document preparation, contract administration, and construction supervision
- Full Irish/EU driving licence
