Our client, a high-end home furniture store in Waterford requires a Senior Sales Consultant to join its team. This is a full-time position working a 5-day week including Saturdays. A retail environment where first impressions are important and where impeccable presentation standards are essential. Customers have high expectations and demand and expect an exceptional level of customer service in all their dealings with the business. The Sales Consultant will offer interior solutions to customers and therefore have to listen to customers to establish their needs & preferences and work with them to offer complete interior solutions in a no-pressure sales environment. This process can take time, from several hours to several weeks, can involve several consultations and must be managed from initial contact through to the closure of the sale. Skills & Competencies Required Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills ability to listen and understand a customers needs and preferences and to offer appropriate solutions based on the Sienna product portfolio. Relationship Building: An ability to engage customers, inspire trust and develop relationships in a professional manner. Initiative: A motivated individual and a self-starter with energy, drive and ambition to work as part of a team to achieve the business goals. Interior Design: An interior design or related qualification would be an advantage but not essential but the candidate must demonstrate a strong interest and flair for interiors. Sales experience -Sales experience in an environment with a high level of customer engagement is essential. Technical: Ability to learn, understand and impart detailed technical product knowledge to customers and other team members. An aptitude for reading and interpreting house plans and the ability to scale draw furniture layout plans would be a distinct advantage. Organisational: Good organisational skills with a strong attention to detail is essential for the role. Team Player: Ability to work as part of a small team, where flexibility and adaptability are key.
