Experienced Site Engineer sought for large-scale construction projects in Dublin, Ireland, with a strong setting out background and 5+ years' experience in Building Projects with a main contractor.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of small works packages, ensuring accuracy of calculations and specifications, and managing contract design documents.Main Responsibilities:
- Setting out, levelling, and surveying the site
- Delivering small works packages with all-encompassing roles and responsibilities
- Checking plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy of calculations
- Ensuring materials used and work performed meet specifications
- Managing contract design documents and liaising with consultants, subcontractors, and clients
- Planning work and efficiently organizing plant and site facilities to meet deadlines
- Overseeing quality control and health and safety matters on site
- Resolving unexpected technical difficulties and other problems
Requirements:
- 3rd-level qualification in Construction Management/Engineering
- Minimum of 5+ years' experience in Building Projects with a main contractor in Ireland or the UK
- Strong setting out experience
- Experience working within property development (advantageous)
- Strong operational skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
- Strong and effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Analytical thinker with demonstrated problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a team or on own initiative
- Ability to perform multiple tasks at a high level of quality
- Ability to work well under pressure and within a deadline environment
- Enthusiastic and hardworking
