The Client and overview of the Role: My Client are an estalished-but-growing Construction Group with an annual turnover in excess of €220m. They have numerous live projects in the Dublin region and can offer continuity of work. They are involved projects for; pharma, industrial, educational, sports, commercial and residential buildings. Due to a number of recently awarded contracts, we are looking for a number of Senior Site Engineers. These projects are for hotels, apartments and sports stadiums. Main responsibilities will include: Working closely with on-site and off-site management teams to ensure that the construction is completed to the right spec. Supervise and develop more Junior Engineers. Check plans and drawings to ensure all calculations are accurate. Check shuttering, steel and other dimensions prior to concrete pours. Liaise with subcontractors, clients and internal teams to ensure that program targets are met/exceeded where possible Work as part of a team to produce As-Built drawings and manage technical submittals for utilities, local authorities etc. Come up with solutions to problems, where necessary. Oversee quality control and health and safety on site. Maintain materials reconciliation files. Requirements: Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline. 4+ years experience as a Site Engineer/Senior Site Engineer with a Main Contractor or Residential Developer. Experience using setting out equipment - Eg. total station, GPS and laser levels. Knowledge of temporary works coordination. Strong attention to detail and able to work on own initiative.
