Job Summary: Promote Sustainable Travel in Ireland
The National Transport Authority (NTA) seeks a candidate to support the Smarter Travel Programme, promoting public transport and active travel to workplaces, colleges, and schools throughout Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and maintain relationships with Smarter Travel Programme partners to develop and implement active and sustainable travel plans.
Act as primary contact for Smarter Travel Programme partners and assist with implementing sustainable mobility plans.
Administer, analyse, and report on Smarter Travel programme surveys.
Coordinate the delivery of the Smarter Travel Mark, reviewing organisations' expressions of interest and awarding successful organisations with the Mark certification.
Arrange and represent the NTA at Smarter Travel Mark plaque presentations.
Actively seek opportunities to grow and expand the Smarter Travel Programme, Smarter Travel Mark, and Smarter Travel Student Awards Programme.
Forecast, manage, and analyse the Smarter Travel Programme and Smarter Travel Marks performance metrics.
Coordinate behavioural change initiatives, including active travel interventions.
Coordinate, deliver, and promote the national Smarter Travel Student Awards Programme.
Maintain and develop the Smarter Travel Student awards judging panel.
Deliver lectures and student briefings throughout the academic year.
Organise and coordinate seminars, events, and campaigns.
Develop marketing, communications, and promotional materials.
Maintain, update, and write copy for the website and TFI Smarter Travel website.
Promote the use of digital channels to publicise the Smarter Travel Programme, Smarter Travel Mark, and Smarter Travel Students Awards Programme.
Analyse data and present comprehensive results and reports on KPIs and achievements.
Manage budgets and perform other tasks as required.
Essential Criteria:
Hold a minimum of a NFQ Level 7 qualification in a relevant discipline.
Have at least five years of recent relevant experience in business or behavioural change roles.
Have at least two years of experience managing projects or people.
Have at least one year of experience in public transport roles related to promoting public transport, active, or sustainable transport modes.
Have strong experience in managing and building stakeholder relationships.
Have strong experience in analysing, reporting, and presenting data.
Desirable Criteria:
Have strong experience of writing copy for websites and/or other publications.
Have experience managing multiple projects.
Have experience marketing sustainable and active travel initiatives.
Skills:
Uses previous knowledge and experience.
Delegates work effectively.
Has a clear understanding of the roles' objectives.
