We're doing more than dream, we're creating the future of mobility and automotive for years to come.WHAT TO EXPECTThis is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Software Architect to join JLR at a pivotal time for the Software Development Centre of Excellence based in Shannon, as we grow our team and move closer to full electrification. You will be responsible for ideating, designing and developing software solutions to address complex problems.You will provide technical leadership and mentorship for the Development team while contributing to the design authority in a highly collaborative distributed environment. You will actively engage in the development process, proactively acting as a bridge between Software Requirements and Implementation.Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:Lead risk identification and risk mitigation strategies associated with the architectureSupport product roadmap creation and strategy developmentBe accountable for the development of software architecture processesSupport and guide the delivery teams to develop systems and solutions in line with architectural documentationMaximise value from systems through technical sustainability, longevity, and reusability WHAT YOU'LL NEED Experience of line management or team leadership Knowledge of ASPICE (or similar) software development process model Experience with UML and SysML modelling tools and techniques for systems of software design Exposure to OS systems such as Unix, and LinuxExperience working on embedded system platforms and exposure to C/C++ programming activitiesSO WHY US?Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you'll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, membership of a competitive pension plan and private medical cover.
