Job Description

This is a new opportunity for a SENIOR Software Controls Engineer to join an expanding, dynamic company offering exceptional opportunities for career development & growth. Reporting to the Senior Technical Lead, the successful candidate will: Key Responsibilities: Managing the software development lifecycle. Coding and system design. Analysing data to effectively coordinate the installation of new systems or the modification of existing systems. Monitoring system performance and overseeing the testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of new software, project development, design, build, and documentation. Communicating key project data to team members and building cohesion among mechanical and electrical engineers. Developing and directing software system validation and testing methods. Working closely with clients and cross-functional departments to communicate project statuses and proposals. Applying best practices problem-solving initiatives and standard operating procedures. Creating innovative solutions to meet our company’s technical needs and shaping the future of our systems. Developing and executing project plans. Key Requirements: Experience with Beckhoff PLC programming is a distinct advantage. 3rd Level Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent degree. 5 years’ experience as a controls engineer. Excellent knowledge of modern development technologies and tools. Excellent communication skills and strong management engagement skills. Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills. Strong desire and ability to mentor engineers of all levels. Passionate about software development and building strong engineering teams. Experienced Project Manager committed to delivering excellent work with excellent people. Aptitude to learn and troubleshoot complex projects & combine with the principles of engineering and software development. Expertise in writing unit, integration, systems, and performance tests.
