Job Description
The One Engineering System (1ES) team inside Microsoft's Cloud and AI division is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and code new software and services used by tens of thousands of Microsoft engineers and the broader DevOps market.
- Design and code new software and services to be used by tens of thousands of Microsoft engineers and the broader DevOps market.
- Work extensively on building developer services that are loved and relied upon.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to determine user requirements and drive identification of dependencies.
- Create, implement, optimize, debug, refactor, and reuse code to establish and improve performance and maintainability.
- Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) and guide other engineers by developing and following the playbook.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
- 5+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C#, Powershell, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Experience developing distributed cloud architectures and infrastructure.
- Experience with sustainable software development, improving patterns and practices.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
