Job Description

Job Summary: As an integral part of the Digital Shared Service (DSS) organization, you will develop skills, collaborate across Fidelity teams, and learn in a fun, collaborative, iterative, and rapidly changing environment. You will design and implement solutions for product features, work closely with the technical lead and architect, and guide junior engineers to develop their technical skills.

The Team: Within DSS, the Graphers squad is responsible for several applications supporting backend services and APIs that provide capabilities for our frontend applications. They are also leading the development for Graph based architecture for our Business Unit.

Expertise:

  • Core Java: Expert in Object Oriented Design concepts, data structures, Web Services (REST, design patterns), Spring Boot, and Java-based frameworks.
  • Cloud Platforms: Proficient in AWS or other cloud platforms, containerization technologies (EKS, Docker), and cloud-based services.
  • Graph QL and Node JS: Understanding of Graph QL and Node JS, with experience working with version control systems (GIT).
  • Microservice Architectures: An understanding of microservice architectures, twelve factor app patterns, and unit/integration test automation using Junit and Spring Boot test framework.
  • CI Pipelines: Experience building and deploying applications using continuous integration pipelines and automated deployment tools (Jenkins).

  • Software Engineering: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science or engineering, with a solid foundation in software development.
  • Critical Thinking: Critical thinking skills to build end-to-end solutions, with passion for learning new things and developing with the latest technologies and frameworks.
  • Communication and Organizational Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks at a given time.
