**Senior Software Engineering Manager (Mongo DB)** **Job Summary:** Lead a globally-distributed team of software developers to oversee the development and maintenance of Percona Distribution for Mongo DB. We're looking for a seasoned Software Engineering Manager to lead our Mongo DB development team. Percona Distribution for Mongo DB provides a single distribution of enterprise components to the open-source community, designed and tested to work together. **Key Responsibilities:** * Hire and lead a globally-distributed team of 8-10 software developers * Partner with the Product Management team to create a roadmap and deliverables * Drive software delivery through championing team velocity, predictability, and accountability * Develop people through coaching, mentoring, and management support * Expect to spend roughly 25% of your time contributing technically * Work with engineering teams, product managers, and others to maintain high levels of transparency, efficiency, and collaboration * Continually find ways to improve quality, processes, and efficiencies through technology and automation * Ownership of the team's results, building on the good, and taking corrective action on opportunities **Requirements:** * 4+ years of experience leading and managing development teams * Cross-team facilitator with a high level of organization and prioritization skills * Software Development experience is a must * Knowledge of C/C++/Go programming languages is a big plus * Experience with deploying and running My SQL and related components * Knowledgeable about open source software and development processes * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Experience in project management with the ability to decompose complicated projects into simple tasks * Self-directed with the ability to operate independently * Maturity to build relationships and operate across the organization **What We Offer:** * Collaborative, highly-engaged culture where your ideas are welcome and your voice is heard * Generous benefits, including flexible work hours and paid time off * All your equipment for your remote office * Funds for career development (external training, certifications, conferences) * Opportunity to participate in an equity incentive plan Percona is a highly respected thought leader in the global open-source community.
