**Senior Software Engineering Manager (Mongo DB)** We're seeking a seasoned leader to oversee the development and maintenance of our Percona Distribution for Mongo DB, leading a globally-distributed team of 8-10 software developers. **Key Responsibilities:** * Hire and lead a team of software developers, ranging from experienced to senior, to deliver high-quality software solutions * Partner with Product Management to create a roadmap and deliverables, ensuring alignment and prioritization * Drive software delivery through championing team velocity, predictability, and accountability * Develop team members through coaching, mentoring, and management support, ensuring team health and individual growth * Collaborate with engineering teams, product managers, and others to maintain high levels of transparency, efficiency, and collaboration * Continuously improve quality, processes, and efficiencies through technology and automation * Own the team's results, building on strengths and addressing areas for improvement **Requirements:** * 4+ years of experience leading and managing development teams * Proven ability to prioritize, manage, budget, and deliver on time * Software development experience, with knowledge of C/C++/Go and experience with deploying and running MySQL and related components * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Experience in project management, with the ability to decompose complicated projects into simple tasks and manage risks * Self-directed and able to operate independently, with maturity to build relationships and operate across the organization **What We Offer:** * A collaborative, highly-engaged culture where your ideas are welcome and your voice is heard * Generous benefits, including flexible work hours and paid time off, all equipment for your remote office, funds for career development, and the opportunity to participate in an equity incentive plan * A highly respected thought leader in the global open-source community, with a mission to Keep Open Source Open * A remote-only and globally dispersed company, with colleagues in more than 50 countries
