Bristol Myers Squibb Ireland Bristol Myers Squibb has been in operation in Ireland since 1964, employing over 650 people across a range of activities and business units Located in Dublin, Cruiserath Biologics Campus, a one billion Multi-Product Cell Culture Biologics Manufacturing facility plays a central role in the Global Product Development and Supply (GPS) network as the companys first European biologics manufacturing facility. This state of the art facility will produce multiple therapies for the companys growing biologics portfolio. Global Biologics Laboratory (GBL) responsible for the release testing of Biologics Drug product for the network, is also based on the Cruiserath Biologics Campus. The Role BMS Cruiserath Biologics is seeking to recruit a permanent Senior Specialist EHSS. Key Duties and Responsibilities Work compliantly with Irish and European environmental, safety, medical surveillance and sustainability laws, regulations, codes, rules, and consensus guides. Develop and implement new EHSS procedures and update and improve existing ones Develop, create, and maintain, and distribute EHSS reports, and records as assigned. Create and maintain a systemic process to ensure workflow timelines for EHSS events and action plans are adhered to including mechanisms for EHSS performance and trend reports. Provide client-facing support for day-to-day activities across operational functions on the Cruiserath campus. This may include Commercial and Clinical drug substance manufacturing in support of Site Engineering (Maintenance and Critical Utility activities), Supply Chain/Warehouse, and Laboratories (Quality Control and Process Development). Key contact for internal customers, researchers, facilities, management, and other cross functional groups, building strong relationships by handling EHSS inquiries. Participate in promoting EHSS culture at the site which partners with operational teams to drive ownership and accountability for safety performance, modeling what 'good' looks like. Support the training program by assisting in the development and delivery of EHSS specific training topics. Participates in EHSS operational and tier meetings, EHSS committees and teams; and EHSS self-assessments, inspections, GEMBAs, and audits. Undertake risk and hazard assessments throughout the campus. This includes involvement in PHA's and HAZOP's for Process Safety. Challenges the norms and brings new approaches to continually improve the effectiveness of workflows and processes -demonstrating a growth mindset to learning and applying new concepts). Ensure accurate and complete resolution of issues through thorough investigation, corrective measures and escalation, where required. Other duties as assigned from time to time, to support business needs. Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills Required: Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point). Experience with incidents and/or learning systems database (e.g., Enablon, Success Factors, etc.) preferred Familiarity with related Irish and European safety and environmental regulations (EPA, HSA, Irish Water) preferred. Ability to take initiative and adapt to frequently changing priorities simultaneously and think creatively, critically, and strategically to solve problems in a complex environment with urgency, agility, and calm. Prioritizes work and thinks independently, analyzes, and solves complex problems with excellent judgment, quality, and detail in an urgent manner. A recognized qualification in Environmental studies or Health & Safety and Minimum experience of 2 years in an EHS role required.
