Job Description

Childrens Disability Network Team CDNT6 Lead Agency Stewarts Care Applications are invited for theabove permanent position.A panel will be formed from which other permanent or temporary posts may be filled. Overview of the Post The Senior Speech and Language Therapist will work as a member of the interdisciplinary team in collaboration with MDT colleagues providing services to children from 0-18 years and families who are accessing the Children's Disability Network Team. The Senior Speech and Language Therapist will be responsible for the provision of a speech and language therapy service to include assessment diagnostics and intervention including involvement in the FEDs service and contributing to ongoing service delivery to children with complex needs and their families. The Senior Speech and Language Therapist will take a lead role in key areas of service development, reporting to the CDNT manager. Professional clinical supervision will be provided. The ability to manage and prioritize a busy caseload, and work in an inter-disciplinary way using a family centered practice approach are also keys requirements of the role. To be considered for this post applicants must demonstrate the following: Essential Criteria Hold a qualification in Speech and Language Therapy approved by the Speech and Language Therapy Registration Board at CORU. Practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Speech and Language Therapy Register maintained by the Speech and Language Therapy Registration Board at CORU. Have 3 years full time (or an aggregate of 3 years full time) post qualification clinical experience. Desirable Criteria Experience of the inter-disciplinary team workingservice delivery planning and developmentis an advantage. Experience working with children or adults with complex communication needs is an advantage. Experience of working in the area of disabilities is an advantage. Experience working with paediatric clients presenting with dysphagia is an advantage. Salary and qualifications are in accordance with Department of Health consolidated pay scales. Salary Scale is Senior Speech and Language Therapist€61,424 - €72,325incl LSI per annum.
