Job Description
- Manage and coordinate deliverables and resources on projects
- Prepare conceptual, schematic, and detailed design solutions for precast design
- Liaise and coordinate with external design team members
- Liaise with clients and their representatives, including attending regular meetings
- Attend design team meetings as required
- Respond to and resolve issues arising on projects in a timely manner
- Contribute to internal process improvement and review of output to ensure compliance with relevant legislation
- Monitor team progress across projects with regular reviews and control
- Responsible for coaching and managing the career development of team members
Necessary Skills and Requirements
- Chartered Structural Engineer with 10+ years' post-graduate experience in building project design and management
- Strong structural design experience and tactical and strategic thinking
- High levels of planning and attention to detail
- In-depth knowledge of construction and constructability practices and principles
- Leadership skills and experience managing a design team
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of current BIM operating systems and standards, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and BIM tools
- Track record working with clients and experience in the precast concrete industry
