Senior Software Test Engineer
SiriusXM is a leading audio entertainment company that delivers a subscription and ad-supported audio experience for listeners in the car, at home, and on the go. We are launching a new state-of-the-art technology facility in Dublin, Ireland, and we are seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer to join our team.
This role will be part of our software development team, responsible for designing, implementing, and executing test procedures to ensure that software programs work as intended. The successful candidate will have the ability to work in a cooperative manner with software engineers, product and program managers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with software engineers, program managers, and product stakeholders to understand product features and requirements.
- Develop and execute test cases to ensure the quality and stability of the system.
- Generate testing completion metrics and analysis for upper management.
- Develop and maintain test plans, test scripts, and test methodologies.
- Anticipate potential software problems by creating test scenarios.
Requirements:
- BS Engineering or SW Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience required.
- Experience in Consumer or Automotive Software development and Frameworks.
- Knowledge and application of at least one programming language.
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written, with ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Commitment to "internal client" and customer service principles.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to details.
Technical Skills:
- At least 3-5 years of experience in C/C++ with specific knowledge of C++ 11.
- Strong understanding of all test fundamentals, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), test management tools, and defect tracking tools.
- Experience with Git.
- Experienced with Satellite module testing and user interface or communication protocols.
