The Role:

The successful candidate will support New Aircraft Deliveries, Transition Aircraft and Engineering in managing material and logistics needs.

Role Responsibilities:
  1. Project manage all aircraft delivery stream activity with respect to materials with the aim of ensuring on-dock dates are met, thus ensuring an on-time aircraft delivery to the customer.
  2. Liaise with OEMs and materials suppliers in preparing purchase orders and tracking shipment of equipment required to support each customer unique configuration.
  3. Maintain a good knowledge of reliable suppliers to support quick turnaround times on transition programs.
  4. Build relationships and co-ordinate with external design and engineering teams and on-site reps supporting aircraft transfers to ensure smooth running of projects.
  5. Attend industry conferences and program meetings as required, travel expected.
  6. Evaluate and negotiate price proposals and GTAs.
  7. Coordinate with Accounts Payable and Vendors to ensure on time payments and quick resolution of disputes.
  8. Manage budgets and compile final aircraft accounting.
  9. Coordinate logistics and storage of surplus transition materials.

You will be focused, analytical and resourceful as well as being an excellent communicator and relationship builder. You will always act with integrity and model your own behaviour to the highest standards. You will represent Avolon in a transparent and honest manner setting a strong example for others to follow.

Essential Skills and Experience:
  1. Degree in engineering, business or another relevant subject.
  2. Minimum 3 years' experience with procurement processes in an aircraft leasing, airline, MRO environment or aftermarket supplier.
  3. Understanding of General Terms Agreements and enforcement of deliverables with key suppliers.
  4. Highly motivated self-starter who brings original thought, challenge and innovation to solving problems.
  5. Keen attention to detail but with the added ability to review the 'big picture'.
  6. Ability to analyse information from multiple sources and provide insightful output and commentary.
  7. Strong and independent minded with the ability to express your views with conviction, showing bravery in confronting established thought.
  8. Demonstrated strong project management skills, including a track record of implementing tools and processes to drive project execution.
  9. Strong drive for results, with a focus on meeting project milestones and timelines.
  10. Skilled at compiling and monitoring project statuses, with the ability to present updates to cross-functional teams.
  11. Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, capable of developing and maintaining positive business relationships to meet the needs of multiple stakeholders.
  12. Showcase a track record of delivering successful outcomes in a fast-paced commercial environment. Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic team setting while managing multiple competing work streams.
