Job Description
A Senior Technical Officer will lead and manage technical staff and services in a school department or function at Munster Technological University. The role involves coordinating activities across labs, supporting simulation and clinical skills, and providing technical advice and assistance. Experience in healthcare simulation, proficient in Microsoft Office, and ability to quickly learn new technology are required.
- Team Leadership: Provide team lead and laboratories manager duties.
- Collaboration: Work with faculty and other team members to ensure seamless simulation and clinical skills lab activities.
- Cross-Lab Coordination: Coordinate activities across seven labs.
- Simulation Support: Support the ongoing implementation and renewal of the MTU simulation strategy.
- Educational Support: Provide technical advice and assistance during practical classes.
- Technical Support and Maintenance: Procure, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot technical systems and equipment.
- Accreditation: Lead the accreditation of centre staff and accreditation of simulation programmes and centre through ASPiH, SESAM, or SSH.
