Senior Technical Officer Our client, an Educational Institution is looking to hire a Senior Technical Officer on a full time temporary contract for 6 months. Principally be involved in leading on and working with our Academic team in partnership with CELT to develop the Schools eLearning strategy. There will be a strong focus on supporting learning and teaching developments in the School as it seeks to expand existing online offerings across all Medical teaching programmes and further develop its distance learning programmes and approaches to assessment. These endeavours include supporting the Schools staff use of appropriate technologies and in the production of learning materials. Responsibilities: *Providing support and guidance to academic staff in the effective use of a range of technologies provided at University and local levels, including Blackboard, Blackboard Collaborate, Turnitin, Kaltura, echo360, video-conferencing and other tools as appropriate. *Working with academic staff, assisting and advising on appropriate strategies and educational approaches for learning content development and the application of educational technologies in face-to-face teaching, blended and distance learning programmes. *Supporting lecture capture, videoconferencing and live-streaming of events, as required for multi-campus programme delivery and collaboration Skills: *Masters in relevant area e.g. Multimedia, digital media, media production and design, educational technology, etc.) *Significant experience working in a similar role, in a medical education environment. *Skills and experience in a range of appropriate technologies including some of the following examples: Blackboard (or similar), Web technologies, multimedia production and editing software, videoconferencing, streaming media, server and user accounts management, etc. *Experience of multimedia materials production, using appropriate tools and authoring environments, including digital video and audio editing. *Experience of web content development; *Sound knowledge of the key issues in teaching and learning in higher education *Experience of staff training & development with excellent communication skills *Good interpersonal and teamwork skills. *Experience of advanced authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar For more information, please email #LI-CO4 #CplCaoimheODriscol #CplGalCommercial24 Skills: blackboard IT Adobe Captivate
