Join Amazon's ICON team to ensure a delightful shopping experience for millions of customers. We host Amazon's global websites and backend services, abstracting infrastructure management and operating 100s of services. As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you'll onboard new Amazon services, lead design and implementation efforts, and make tradeoffs to optimize time-to-market.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing long-term ICON onboarding strategy and building support for new software services and hosting platforms.
- Managing planned operations to meet customer requests within SLAs.
- Coordinating design and implementation efforts with engineers and users across multiple teams.
- Communicating goals, roles, and responsibilities to internal cross-functional and remote project teams.
Basic qualifications:
- Experience in technical program management working directly with software engineering teams.
- Managing technical programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.
- Owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.
- Working directly with engineering teams.
- System design experience.
Preferred qualifications:
- Project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management.
- Managing projects across cross-functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules.
- Defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.
