Job Summary: Ensure a delightful shopping experience for millions of Amazon.com customers by joining the Intelligent Hosting (ICON) team as a Technical Program Manager. We host Amazon websites, abstract infrastructure management, and operate Tier-1 services, automating management and operational activities to strengthen services' posture towards security, availability, and efficiency.

About ICON: We abstract and centralize infrastructure management from service teams, bring agility to business processes, and operate 100s of Tier-1 services on behalf of our internal customers. ICON is an early adopter of Amazon's product offerings and automates the management and operational activities on behalf of developers to strengthen services' posture towards security, availability, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a long-term ICON onboarding strategy and build support for new software services and hosting platforms within the team.
  • Manage planned operations to meet customer requests within Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Lead and coordinate design and implementation efforts with engineers and users, coordinating across multiple teams to develop optimal solutions in an agile environment.
  • Make appropriate trade-offs to optimize time-to-market and clearly communicate goals, roles, and desired outcomes to internal and remote project teams.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience in technical program management working directly with software engineering teams.
  • Managing technical programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.
  • Experience working directly with engineering teams and system design.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience in project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management.
  • Managing projects across cross-functional teams, building sustainable processes, and coordinating release schedules.
  • Defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.
