Job Description
As a senior logistics lead, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. You will make an impact by:
- Leading route optimization strategies using data analytics and cost-benefit analysis to optimize the logistics network.
- Leading project activities related to route optimization, liaising cross-functionally with sourcing, operations, regulatory, quality, and legal to define project scope, plan, and execution.
- Owning the EMEA service performance, utilizing data analytics, root cause determination, Pareto analysis, and trending to determine issues affecting service levels.
- Owning and managing service level metrics across regions, countries, divisions, and modes of transport, communicating effectively across internal customers.
- Managing various transportation planning, policy, operations projects.
- Organizing, directing, and managing contract operation support functions, encompassing multiple, complex, and inter-related project tasks.
- Documenting the routing of all materials across business units, ensuring clarity and efficiency.
- Identifying and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and achieve cost savings.
- Continuously evaluating and optimizing transportation networks, including carrier selection, modes of transportation, and distribution channels.
- Establishing working relationships with logistics partners, including monthly business reviews and quarterly business reviews.
- Developing and executing transportation strategies that align with organizational goals and anticipate future needs.
- Ensuring delivery quality meets organizational standards, identifying and resolving performance issues.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience working in high-volume healthcare logistics at a senior level.
- A proven track record in cultivating strong and collaborative relationships with vendors to ensure reliable and high-quality logistics services.
- Proven experience leading and executing complex global projects, leading matrixed teams to execute project objectives.
- Demonstrated experience building cost-benefit analysis to drive decisions and optimize service levels.
- Demonstrated experience using data analytics to drive strategic and operational decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization.
- Proven experience building department budgets, analyzing cost variances, predicting potential cost increases, and proactively managing changes in budget adherence.
- A service mindset, focusing on building a best-in-class customer experience.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage complex, inter-related project tasks.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management abilities.
Work Location
This role is based in Dublin, with regular travel to the Athlone office required.
