Galway Remote Engineering Role
We are seeking an experienced UX Designer to join our team in Galway, Ireland. The ideal candidate will have a passion for simple, elegant design and shipping quality products.
The UX Designer will lead the user experience on a range of project types, from design and build to research and discovery. They will deliver a UX vision that can be achieved by iterative updates over time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the UX on a range of project types
- Deliver a UX vision that can be achieved by iterative updates over time
- Ability to understand and extract complex problems into intuitive, informed solutions
- Be customer centered, highly collaborative and inclusive
- Create sketches and scrappy prototypes as well as polished visual design comps
- Create interactive wireframes and functional prototypes
- Collaborate and communicate with the Product Manager, engineering teams and stakeholders on user experience design and development
Qualifications:
- 6+ years' experience as an UX designer, information architect, interaction designer, visual designer, or a similar role
- Degree (or relevant qualification) in a related field, such as Interactive Design, Architecture, Industrial Design, Visual Communications or Human Factors
- Strong knowledge of interaction design and methodology
- Ability to take criticism, iterate quickly and reject perfection
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience using a mix of technologies such as CSS, HTML, Javascript, j Query
- Lightweight wireframing tools like Figma, Balsamiq or something similar
