Job Title: Senior Vascular Physiologist Location: Dublin Job type: Permanent, full time Working Hours: The core working hours of attendance will be 35 hours per week. Charlene Cooke Healthcare Recruitment is excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Vascular Physiologist to join an expanding team, within a highly respected hospital in Dublin. This is an amazing opportunity to enhance your skills, you will carry out a variety of complex and interesting cases regularly with this opportunity. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the ongoing success of the departments dedicated to growth and exceptional patient care. You will join an expanding, developing department, utilising cutting-edge technology and systems. You will collaborate with highly skilled Consultants and Vascular Physiologists in a workplace known for its inclusive, efficient, innovative, and collaborative culture. Purpose of the role: With the assistance of the Chief Vascular Physiologist to be responsible for the overall management of the Vascular Laboratory, encompassing the provision of a quality vascular service in line with standards of vascular practice and staff supervision. What you'll need to succeed: Hold a min of three years post qualification experience in a Vascular Department Experience in conducting a range of non-invasive and invasive vascular investigations Experience with a variety of equipment including ultrasound machines, angiography equipment, and endovascular devices. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for evaluation of accurate reporting of non-invasive vascular testing. Communicate and work in cooperation with other team members. Participate in case conferences, research meetings, etc as appropriate and associated presentations. Engage in continuous personal and professional development Effectively communicate with Consultants, GPs and hospital staff regarding patients needs. Work within own scope of professional competence in line with principles of best practice, professional conduct. Seek the advice of relevant personnel when appropriate/as required. Operate within the scope of practice of the society for vascular technology of Great Britain & Ireland. Ensures the timely production and delivery of patient procedures. Maintains required departmental records. Assures that equipment is maintained according to manufacturers specifications. Participate in department process improvement projects. Maintains infection control procedures to protect patients and staff. Eligibility Criteria: Possess a BSc in Clinical Measurement from Technological University Dublin (TUD) (formerly DIT) or equivalent as confirmed by the Irish Institute of Clinical Measurement Physiologists (IICMP). Possess full membership with the Irish Institute of Clinical Measurement Science (IICMS) or have started the process. (Essential for commencement of employment) Hold 3+ years post qualification experience in a Vascular Department. Demonstrate clinical competence and relevant experience in a Vascular Department. You must be capable of working both independently and collaboratively, demonstrating clinical expertise and effective decision-making skills in providing specialist care and support to patients with complex conditions.
