Senior Water Design Engineer, EMEA Energy & Water: Design and implement water treatment systems for global data centers, ensuring safe drinking water and compliance with environmental regulations.
You will be responsible for designing and implementing water treatment systems for our global data centers, ensuring safe drinking water and compliance with environmental regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of water quality and treatment processes, as well as experience with design engineering and construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement water treatment systems for global data centers, ensuring safe drinking water and compliance with environmental regulations.
- Develop and maintain design standards and guidelines for water treatment systems.
- Collaborate with global Mechanical engineering teams to achieve alignment of water treatment systems objectives.
- Build and maintain overall delivery program and project budget, submitting Capital Allocation Requests to secure finance for project delivery.
- Prepare investment need/business case papers to secure internal funding for water reinforcement projects to secure water supply and discharges.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a field related to Chemical/Process and/or Mechanical engineering degree a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in design engineering or the construction industry, related to water quality and chemical treatment.
- Commensurate experience delivering water infrastructure and engineering solutions for capital-intensive projects across diversified industries.
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience applying local water laws and codes, International Code Council (ICC) requirements, and other water treatment industry standards, procedures, and methodologies.
- 3+ years demonstrated experience with the health and safety requirements and ensure compliance is met within area of responsibility.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 15+ years of demonstrated experience as a process design engineer and/or water treatment specialist.
- Technical experience of a range of treatment technologies including water softening, multi-media-filtration, pH correction, membrane-based treatment, disinfection (UV, AOP, Ozone).
- Experience with performance-based alternatives to prescriptive water treatment design.
- Advanced business analytics skills.
