Job Description

Squarespace is seeking a seasoned SEO Manager to drive organic in-audience landing growth and expand search volume. The ideal candidate will have expertise in technical SEO, multi-language SEO, content marketing planning, metadata, content gap analysis, performance reporting, and search algorithms.

About the Role

  • Develop global SEO strategies through data-driven planning, opportunity assessment, and reporting to identify critical KPIs, set goals, and forecast performance for ongoing optimization.
  • Manage external agency and vendor partners to systematize processes and increase organic channel efficiency across the marketing funnel.
  • Develop short-term and long-term SEO strategies, including keyword list management, site architecture, and content optimization recommendations.
  • Partner with marketing, content, analytics, and product teams to integrate SEO recommendations into marketing project planning.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends and algorithm changes, and SEO best practices, strategies, and technologies.
  • Report on plan results, insights, and recommendations weekly, monthly, and quarterly.
  • Balance well-crafted content and intentional SEO practices.
  • Collaborate with the team to plan and develop creative ideas to support customer understanding of website design.

Requirements

  • 7-10+ years of experience in SEO, content strategy, and SEM.
  • 4 years of experience defining marketing processes in multi-disciplinary environments.
  • Knowledge of channel marketing strategies and processes to support SEO programs.
  • Up-to-date on the latest trends in SEO best practices, Google quality guidelines, and ranking factors.
  • Expertise with tools like Looker, Amplitude, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and Framer.
  • Deep understanding of marketing data management to support SEO channel reporting.
  • Experience with self-service B2C and B2B motions.
  • Experience presenting to executive audiences.
  • Ability to partner and gain support from content, engineering, design, product, and marketing teams.

Cash Compensation Range: $135,000 – $170,000 USD

The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria, including relevant skills, experience, and location. In addition to the cash compensation, all Squarespace employees are eligible to receive equity in the company as part of their total compensation.
