CMV Truck Centre is a large on highway Truck Dealership based at Cavan in modern premises. Kenworth trucks have dominated the heavy duty truck market in Australia for many years and are the market leading brand. DAF is a modern technologically advanced European truck, manufactured by Paccar, who are the parent company of Kenworth trucks.

We are part of the CMV Group, a South Australian family-owned business which has been operating for over 90 years and now employs over 2,000 employees across South Australia and Victoria.

About the role

A rare opportunity exists for an exceptional Service Manager to lead and support our talented service team. We are seeking a hands-on leader who will mentor and motivate the service team to continuously deliver the very best customer service levels.

This role will be responsible for:

Service Management

- Driving industry benchmarks for customer service through quality, communication and efficiency.
- Driving quality effective processes and ensuring manufacturer quality standards are adhered to in the maintenance and repair of all vehicles.
- Regularly reviewing and analysing the utilisation of capacity in the service department.
- Overseeing the prompt invoicing of all completed jobs in the service department.
- Developing and maintaining manufacturer relationships.

Leadership

- Providing direction and support to the service department to achieve objectives and targets.
- Coordinating ongoing training, development and product knowledge for all workshop personnel, including apprentices.
- Promoting the managerial responsibility of reporting supervisors and conducting individual performance reviews.
- Regularly reviewing operational and financial targets and results and implementing appropriate corrective actions.

- A driven leader with a strong commitment to safety and building a positive team culture and engagement.
- Proven track record of managing a profitable service division within a similar industry.
- Success in a highly customer focused environment.
- Commercial business acumen.
- Sound mechanical knowledge.
