Service Technician – Long-Term Onsite Support (Pharmaceutical Equipment) Fulltime, Permanent Location: Dublin | Travel: Occasional (10%, mostly within the local area, with occasional trips to Germany) Are you ready to take your engineering expertise to the next level? Capilaux is working exclusively with a global pharmaceutical equipment manufacturing company who are looking for a dynamic Service Technician to provide long term, on site support on cutting-edge pharmaceutical filling equipment and isolators. We’re looking for a tech-savvy, hands-on professional with a passion for solving problems, improving processes, and making an impact on a global scale. What You’ll Do As the key on-site engineer, you’ll be ensuring that production lines run smoothly, efficiently, and without a hitch. You’ll troubleshoot issues, prevent breakdowns, and work closely with specialists in Germany to deliver technical solutions that increase performance and yield. Whether you’re implementing upgrades, performing maintenance, or training operators, you’ll be at the heart of ensuring their high-tech equipment is at its best. Your Main Responsibilities: * Be the expert: Provide long-term onsite support for filling equipment and isolators, mastering both the equipment and the pharma production processes. * Problem-solver: Analyze production challenges and provide rapid, cost-effective solutions to maximize output. * Technical mastermind: Troubleshoot, collaborate with our engineering team in Germany, and deliver top-notch solutions to prevent breakdowns and critical incidents. * Maintenance pro: Conduct regular inspections, calibrations, and upgrades to ensure machines stay in optimal, validated condition. * Training leader: Pass on your knowledge by training customer staff to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment. What You Bring We need someone who thrives in a hands-on environment, with the skills and determination to solve complex problems and improve processes. Here’s what we’re looking for: * Technical expertise: A diploma in mechanical or electrical engineering, or equivalent experience in machinery assembly and commissioning. * Experience: 2+ years working with specialized machinery, ideally in the pharmaceutical, automation, or related industries. * Problem-solving mindset: Strong ability to diagnose technical issues, read technical drawings, and implement practical solutions. * Customer-first approach: A focus on delivering exceptional service and exceeding customer expectations. * Communication skills: Fluent in English, with the ability to produce detailed service reports and work collaboratively with teams across the UK and Germany. * Attention to detail: Meticulous documentation skills to ensure compliance with pharma regulations.
