Job Description

Setting Out Engineer for large scale residential project in Dublin, responsible for performing setting out and surveying duties, interpreting engineering drawings, and ensuring projects are completed to schedule, quality, and budget.

Our client is a long established and highly regarded construction company seeking a skilled Setting Out Engineer to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform setting out and surveying duties for all aspects of construction works (foundations, drainage, structures, and utilities).
  • Accurately interpret and work from engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Liaise with site management, contractors, and design teams to ensure projects are completed to schedule, quality, and budget.
  • Ensure all health and safety regulations are followed on site.
  • Record and monitor progress, highlighting any technical challenges and working with teams to resolve them.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of method statements and risk assessments.

Requirements:

  • Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of setting out experience, ideally in residential or large-scale construction projects.
  • Proficiency in using Total Station, GPS equipment, and other relevant surveying tools.
  • Solid understanding of construction methodologies and engineering principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to project demands.
  • Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling Certificate.
