Job Description
Experienced Setting Out Engineer required to lead site surveys and ensure accurate construction work.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Setting Out Engineer to join our team and contribute to the creation of extraordinary homes and communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set out and survey construction sites using total stations and other surveying equipment.
- Interpret construction plans and drawings to ensure work is carried out to specification.
- Provide technical advice and guidance to the construction team.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations and guidelines.
- Liaise with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure work is completed on time and to a high standard.
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts that arise during construction.
- Maintain accurate records of work progress, materials used, and workforce productivity.
- Provide training and guidance to team members as required.
- Attend site meetings and provide progress reports as required.
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry/developer.
- Proficiency in the use of total station, GPS, laser level, and other surveying equipment.
- Proficiency in the use of Autocad and associated programs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Strong focus on safety and quality.
- Valid driver's license and own transportation.
