Job Description

SharePoint Developer – Technical Lead required for a 24-month contract position in Dublin, Ireland, with hybrid options available.

As a seasoned SharePoint Developer, you will lead a technical team in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level SharePoint solutions, integrating with technologies such as SQL server, ASP.Net, and MS exchange. Your expertise will be essential in communicating effectively with various stakeholders, from technical backgrounds to senior management levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop SharePoint applications with a minimum of 7 years' experience, having performed these duties as a primary part of their role within the last 2 years.
  • Manage and oversee the IM&T Development Team activities, prioritizing work and ensuring individual and team capacity in supporting various systems and deliverables.
  • Support Development Management in assessing and delivering project and non-project development as needed, providing weekly progress reports on assigned work.
  • Provide skills transfer to Departmental staff to allow long-term support of new applications following handover into production.
  • Deal with the wider organisational staff, working with the technical team to optimize and error-check all code.
  • Participate in the development of SharePoint application lifecycle maintenance processes, contributing to technical documentation, including design documents and support plans.
  • Execute against project plans, scopes, schedules, and budgets, preparing and communicating project reports recognizing deviations from scope, schedule, cost, and implementing remedial actions as required.
  • Participate in system testing and defect/issue resolution, participating in the full Agile Software Development Lifecycle for Case management and LIMS SharePoint projects.

Experience/Competencies/Skillsets:

  • Leading a technical team with responsibilities for the development, maintenance, and support of a variety of SharePoint systems, such as Case Management systems and Laboratory Information Management systems, throughout the full Software Development lifecycle.
  • Designing and developing enterprise-level SharePoint solutions while integrating with and utilizing other technologies such as SQL server, ASP.Net, MS exchange, etc.
  • Communicating clearly and effectively to various stakeholders at different levels, including those from both technical and non-technical backgrounds and those at end-user and senior management levels.
