Galway-based civil contractors seek a SHEQ Manager to oversee ISO Environmental, Health & Safety, and Quality Management Systems, ensuring compliance and promoting high standards of leadership.
SHEQ Manager Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company's ISO Environmental Management System, ISO 45001 Health & Safety Management System, and ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
- Ensure the Management and Environmental Management System conforms to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001 requirements.
- Set the highest possible standards of leadership in promoting HS&E procedures, ensuring compliance with company procedures and legal obligations.
- Report on the performance of the Quality and Environmental Management System and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Control document information and act as liaison with external parties on Health & Safety and Environmental Management system matters.
- Implement and maintain the Health & Safety and Environmental Management System.
- Ensure the integrity of the company's Quality Management System is maintained during changes.
SHEQ Job Specification
- Minimum Level 8 Qualification (or equivalent) in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Certificate Level in Environmental Management, IOSH Membership.
- 5+ years of experience in the civil engineering industry (previous experience preferred).
- Valid Safe Pass and/or SMSTS card holder.
- Experience in coordinating Health and Safety, ISO Quality Standards, Internal Auditing, and conducting risk assessments.
- High level of administrative/IT skills.
