Job Description
Operations Shift Manager for leading medical device manufacturing company in Waterford City. A seasoned Operations Shift Manager is required to lead a high-performing team, driving production excellence, quality, and safety in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. **Key Responsibilities:** * Lead and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the operations shift team, including Quality Inspectors, Material Handlers, and Injection Moulding Technicians * Meet production targets for customer delivery, product quality, and cost while maintaining a safe work environment * Develop and implement lean tools to drive continuous improvement and process reliability * Foster a high-performing team that achieves excellent results through coaching, mentoring, and effective performance management * Plan and allocate resources to support weekly production schedules and ensure compliance with cGMP requirements * Implement and maintain 5S programs, ensuring housekeeping, cGMP, and safety issues are resolved in a timely and systematic manner * Ensure ongoing compliance with GMP policies and procedures * Develop and maintain visual management systems to facilitate communication and training **Requirements:** * Level 7 or 8 HETAC Science/Engineering qualification * 3-5 years' experience in injection moulding/automated assembly * 5+ years' supervisory/leadership experience * Qualifications and experience in Lean (Green belt level) desirable * Experience in medical device injection moulding and assembly operations desirable **Essential Skills:** * Excellent lean operations leadership, organizational, and communication skills * Performance and results-driven * Ability to motivate self and others * Excellent initiative and decision-making capability * Ability to work in a team environment * High level of cGMP, safe working practices, and awareness * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, MS Project, and ERP systems
